It is with sadness that I inform you of the death of Mr. Basil Hearty of Chichester, QC. Basil died in the Ottawa Hospital on October 10, 2017. He leaves Beatrice his partner of many years. Also grieving his passing are Norman, Daniel, and Joshua, and his 6 grandchildren Aaron, Adam, Ashley, Aden, Brooklyn, and Payton and one great-grandchild, Colton as well as many nieces, nephews, and children fostered by Basil and Beatrice over many years. At Basil’s request, there will be no wake or funeral Mass, only a private graveside service when his ashes are interred in his parents grave in Chapeau. Please keep his soul and the consolation of his family in your prayers.

Basil was a kind and generous friend for many years who among other things loaned us his car for a week after a near-fatal accident near Chapeau in the early 70’s destroyed our car.He was that kind of human being.God bless his soul and prayers for him and his family.Laura (Dunn) and Neil morris
