SHEENBORO FAMILY SENIOR MUNICIPAL POLICY COMMITTEE has been working hard the past few months to develop a policy and three year action plan. This policy will guide the municipality in significant matters related to families and seniors of Sheenboro. We have prepared a short survey for all residents and cottagers to complete regardless of your age or location of permanent residence. The survey is confidential, and available from October 25 until November 10. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: The regular meeting of the Bishop N.Z Lorrain council of the Knights of Columbus will be held on Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Bishop N.Z. Lorrain council 1531 of the Knights of Columbus will hold its annual memorial mass for the deceased third and fourth degree members on Tuesday, November 18th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. It starts at 7:00 p.m. and is opened to all families of deceased members, current members, their families and the parishes.

CATECHIST DAY: A formation day for Parish Catechists and all interested persons entitled Our Lives Proclaiming Christ will be held on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 from 8:30 to 2:00 at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Pembroke, 284 Trafalgar Road. Bishop Michael Mulhall will speak on the Spirituality of a Catechist followed by sessions with presenters from various ministries. The afternoon session will consist of a group sharing. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please let us know if you have any food allergies. There is no fee for registration is necessary to inform us of your group of interest: Youth Ministry, R.C.I.A, Confirmation, First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Baptism or Children’s Liturgy. CONFIRMATION: Will be held on Thursday, November 27th in St. Joseph Church at 7 pm. Fr. Tim would like to meet with the students making the sacrament on Wednesday, November 26th, at 7pm at St. Joseph’s Church.
FREE FLU SHOTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE at HARRINGTON COMMUNITY CENTRE: on Monday November 3rd from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm and on Monday November 17th from 1 pm to 6:30 pm.
SHEENBORO REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY – ORGANIZED BY THE SHEENBORO MUNICIPAL COUNCIL & SHEENBORO RECREATION ASSOCIATION: will be held on Sunday, November 9th. Mass & dedication will begin at 11:00 am, 11:55 Remembrance Day Ceremony, 12:20 Meal in the Hall. Donation of Pies is needed: Please sign up at the back of the church. As is the tradition the roast beef meal is paid for by the Sheenboro Recreation Association but cash donations to offset the cost are much appreciated. The donation box is found at the entrance to the kitchen. All are welcome!

YOUNG AT HEART NEWS: From November 5th until the New Year we will play cards in the afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. in order to accommodate most of our members. Also reserve December 10th for our Christmas Party at noon.

|1) Our sympathies to Colleen Gribbon and family upon the tragic death of her husband Andrew this past week. Please remember them in your prayers this week and throughout the months of grief and mourning that faces this family.
2) Please remember to mark November 27th on your calendar. That’s the day that our Bishop comes to offer the sacrament of Confirmation to some young ladies and gentlemen of our parishes. This year’s celebration is being held in St. Joseph’s Church. Next year, it’s in Sheenboro!
3) Your Church Envelopes will soon be available to be picked up in each of the Churches. Keep an eye out for them as they are required if you wish to receive a tax receipt at the end of the year.
4) NOTICE: The parish office will be closed this week as Pauline will be away as her first grandchild is to come into the world on Monday! Please pray for a safe and happy delivery of Chapeau’s newest resident. Fr. Tim will respond to any messages that are left on the parish voicemail as soon as possible.
