NOTES FROM FR. TIM
1) Many thanks to the St. Joseph’s CWL for taking me out to lunch on Thursday and giving me a tin of Christmas goodies!!

2) Please keep Edwin Doyle (Sheenboro) in your prayers. He is gravely ill in the Shawville Hospital at this time. Don’t forget too to lift up John Lapierre and Doreen Dubeau how they are also facing a battle for life. It is a tragedy whenever a family is afflicted with grave illness, but it’s doubly so during the holiday season. They are all in need of our love, support, and prayers.

3) The Bible Study Class is changing the hour we meet. Beginning on Thursday January 8th, we will gather in the St. Joseph Rectory at 2 pm. We mark the new year by beginning our journey through the Gospel of Matthew. New members are always welcome.

4) 40 Hours for the Kingdom: Don’t forget to send in your vouchers whenever you complete an activity to help grow your love of God and neighbour! Your activities might inspire others to similar acts of faith and love.

5) Please remember that 100% of the Christmas collection goes to the Church and not the pastor! We count on your generous support to help pay the heating bills each winter. If you wish to offer me a gift, please make sure to put it into a clearly marked separate envelope from your collection offering.

6) Finally, thanks to everyone who has been busy preparing for this week’s Christmas celebrations. You are too numerous to name individually but you are all remembered in prayer at each mass.

ENVELOPE BOXES:  If you are new to the Parish or if your name is not on any of the boxes. Please feel free to take a blank box and put your name and address on your first couple of envelopes so we can put you into the system. Thank you so much.

THANK YOU-SULLIVAN: Gail, Greg and families wish to express their sincere gratitude to relatives, friends and neighbours for their support at this very difficult time. Thank you for the donations of food and cards, for your attendance at the funeral liturgy. Also thanks for the Mass offerings, for donations to St. Paul the Hermit Parish, to the Shawville Hospital Foundations and other donations in Norma’s name.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
