      12:00 in St. Joseph’s Municipal Hall. Mass will be at 11:00 o’clock. Price $10 per adult. Children under ten $5. Thank you. We hope to see you there.

MEMBERS OF THE YOUNG AT HEART CLUB: June 17 our picnic will take place at Carmel and Edmond Chartrand’s Cottage River Road at 1 pm. Food and beverages provided. Just bring your lawn chair.

Silent Auction: Our 18th year of “auctioning” on Canada Day is fast approaching. We again will be depending on the ingenuity and generosity of parishioners, cottagers and many others from Chapeau and St Joseph’s to donate items or services. The money raised is shared by our Recreation Association and the parish. Please be generous. This is one of our larger fundraisers. We thank you and the Lord thanks you.

TEACHER’S REUNION LUNCHEON AT NORTHFORK: there will be a mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on June 26th. Please be advised that the cost is $35 for each graduate & $30 for each companion. FIFTH ANNUAL WOJTYLA SUMMER INSTITUE AT OLSWA: Calling all teachers! On July 23-26, 2015 Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy will be hosting its fifth annual Wojtyla Summer Institute for Teacher’s This year’s theme is Understanding the Past, Shaping the Future: The Catholic Church in Time. Sheenboro Irish Heritage Festival, July 24-26, 2015, Advance Tickets Available There will be a festival this summer and we promise a fun-filled weekend with good local music and dance, a tearoom and local arts and crafts. The festival kicks off on Friday night with local fiddlers, square dancing and musicians playing at the Hotel Pontiac. On Saturday, the festival runs in Sheenboro all day under a big tent with Dominic D’Arcy kicking off the event, Louis Schryer, Gail Gavan, the Ramblin Valley Band, Erin and Siobheann Leahy and many other talented musicians and dancers. There will be a Jam session from 6:00 to 7:30 pm under the tent and all musicians and dancers are welcome. The entertainment continues into the evening with the Ryan Bros. playing from 8 pm till midnight. On Sunday, the festival will end with a mass followed by a cold lunch in the hall. We need your help as the past festival did contribute to the parish purchasing two new stoves for the hall and we made a significant contribution to the parish funds.   If everyone donates an hour to our festival, we will lighten the load on our small group of energetic volunteers.  To volunteer, please contact Lorna Agnesi, Volunteer Coordinator at 819-689-2317 or fiddle-fingers@hotmail.com.  Keep watching our Sheenboro Heritage Festival Facebook page for updates on performers and you can see the draw prizes there too. ST. PIERRE PARISH-FORT COULONGE: Sea Pie Supper, Baked Beans, Homemade pies will be held on Saturday & Sunday, June 13& Sunday, June 14 at St. Peter’s Parish Hall, Bingo and Draws . Meals starting at 4 pm. Meals for take-out starting at 5:30 pm. Cost is $15 adult and $5.00 12 and under. Everyone Welcome.

Fred Meilleur Memorial Golf Tournament, Friday, June 26, 2015 in support of the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex, Harrington Community Center and the Waltham Municipal Hall. The Tournament will be held at the Island Brae [ shot gun start at 10:00am] and Pontefract [ shot gun start at 9:30am] Golf Clubs. Cost is $50.00 for golf and supper, $35.00 for golf only, and $25.00 for supper only. Golf cart rentals are extra. Call the Island Brae ( 613-732-9022) and the Pontefract [ 819-683-3308] to reserve. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: closing dinner on Wednesday, June 24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Ellis Avenue in Pembroke. Happy hour is at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Wives are invited and tickets can be purchased  from Town and Country Men’s Shop , Grand Knight Maurice Levesque or at the next meeting of the council. $20 per ticket.

WEST PONTIAC CONNECTS: As of Monday June 15th 2015 the centre will be open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm and closed from 11:30am to 12:00 (noon)

CHAPEAU R.A: June 14th ribbon cutting for the new play structure at 12p.m. barbecue hot-dogs and free cake. Everyone welcome!

NOTES FROM FR. TIM 1) Our sympathy and condolences to Vince Agnesi on the occasion of his mother’s death. Vida Agnesi died in Gaspé, Qc. this past Monday.
2) Sheenboro lost an important member of its parish as we celebrated the funeral of Claire Gleason on Wednesday. Please remember to keep her family in your prayers during their time of bereavement. 3) How goes your 40 Hrs for the Kingdom efforts? To date, we’ve received notes totally more than 500 hrs of volunteer and spiritual work by various parishioners. Keep going with these good works!!
