KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Bishop N.Z. Lorrain council 1531 will be holding its next general meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Ellis Avenue in Pembroke. Start time is 7:30 p.m.  Any Catholic gentleman wishing to become a member of the Knights of Columbus can call Grand Knight Maurice Levesque or membership chairman Bryan Dupuis.

Notes from Fr: Tim
1) Bible Study group starts up again on Thursday September 10th at 7 pm in the St. Joseph’s rectory. New members are always welcome!

2) Oops! I made a mistake in the date of the Parish Finance Committee meeting. It’s actually scheduled for Wednesday September 23rd at 7 pm. I guess this just proves why this committee is necessary. Evidently I’m not good with numbers.

3) The start of the new school year means it’s time to register your children for the mandatory Catechism classes offered by the parish. Registration forms are at the entrances of the churches for any new students beginning the program. Please take one home if you have a child, grandchild, or friend who needs to register. Students who participated last year are automatically registered for this year.

4) Our sympathy and prayers to the families of Frances Giroux (St. Joseph), Geraldine Coghlan (Chapeau) and Luella Laundry (mother in law of Catherine Keon-Godin). Please remember to keep these souls in your prayers.

5) Have you taken any parish draw tickets to sell yet? Please be generous in helping ensure their success.

6) The funeral for Luella Laundry, mother-in-law of Catherine Keon-Godin will be held in Chapeau next Saturday at 11 am.
