Notes from Fr: Tim
1) THANK YOU! There are many people who need to be thanked for the tremendous work they put in to make our Christmas services such a success. First off, there are all the people in the choirs in each of the three parishes. They practiced for weeks to get everything ‘just right’ to inspire and fill our masses with just the right spirit. The readers, collection takers, altar servers, and ushers too all added to the Christmas celebrations. Next there are the volunteers who helped to turn our church spaces into beautiful Christmas shrines to honor the birth of the Saviour: the decorators, cleaners, and florists. Of course all of these folk’s works would be for nothing if it were not for the sacristans who ensured that everything was in place to be able to prayerfully celebrate the Eucharist. A special gift of gratitude is extended to the organizers, directors, musicians, and actors who performed the Christmas pageant at the Chapeau mass.

A special thanks goes to Pauline Lepine, our parish secretary who helped to keep everything organized and in order. Without her hard work, very little would get accomplished at any point in the year!

Finally I wish to extend a personal thank you to the many parishioners who gave me so many generous gifts this Christmas season. The many offerings of Christmas baking and food allowed me to share some Christmas goodies with friends who visited me at the rectory. The presents of gift cards and money will keep me in books, journals, and reading materials for the year ahead for which I am deeply, deeply grateful. Of course I must also thank everyone for their donations to the Christmas collections which will help to keep our parishes running throughout the winter heating season.

We are truly a group of blessed parishes here in the Upper Pontiac. I pray that the Christmas spirit of generosity, fraternity, and holiness continues throughout the year to come.

2) Bible Study classes begin again on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 7 pm in the St. Joseph’s Rectory.
