Notes from Fr: Tim
1) In today’s readings, we hear Jesus calling some of the first apostles to join him in proclaiming the good news of the Gospel. This is an invitation we all received by virtue of our baptism. So, who have you shared the good news with lately?

2) Lent begins this week with the celebration of Ash Wednesday. Wednesday is to be a day of fasting (total amount of food for day to equal one meal) and abstinence (we don’t eat meat) for everyone between the ages of 8 yrs old to 65 yrs. This communal act of penance is a sign that we acknowledge our sins as a community.

3) The Stations of the Cross will be celebrated each Friday during Lent at 7 pm. This week they will be celebrated in the St. Joseph’s Church. Next Friday they will be celebrated in the Chapeau sacristy.
