CATHOLIC HUMOUR – JESUS IS WATCHING YOU: A robber breaks into a home and hears a voice say, “Jesus is watching you.”
Puzzled, he asks, “Who said that?”
Again, the voice repeats, “Jesus is watching you.”
The robber turns around to see a parrot. He asks the parrot what his name is. The parrot replies, “Cornelius.”
The robber asks, “Who names a parrot ‘Cornelius’?”
The parrot replies, “The same person who named that Rottweiler behind you Jesus!”
|Notes from Fr. Tim|
|1) Our sympathies and convalescences to the members of Edirene Lapierre (nee Bell) who died and was buried from St. Joseph’s Parish this week. She was the widow of the late Larry (Bud) Lapierre. Please remember to pray for her and for the consolation of her family.
2) Boy did I make a boo-boo in last weekend’s bulletin regarding the 1st confession/communion celebration for our parish children. These celebrations will take place on the LAST weekend of May (not on the first one as I wrote last week). My apologies if this has created any inconvenience for any of our families who have children receiving these sacraments.
3) Mado Keon has informed us that her aunt, Madeline DeLile (sister of the late Mike Keon) passed away this past week. Please remember her in your prayers.
4) Here are a few more puns that someone sent to me. I hope they’ll put a smile on your face as they did for me. (P.S. Fr. Costello loves puns. Make sure to use these next time you see him!)
-A man’s home is his castle, in a manor of speaking.
-Dijon vu – the same mustard as before.
-When two egotists meet, it’s an I for an I.
-If you don’t pay your exorcist, you get repossessed
-Santa’s helpers are subordinate clauses.
