KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: will be selling roses this weekend after church for the Arthritis Society. Your support is appreciated.

The Knights of Columbus final session in the speaker series sponsored by Council 1531 of the Knights of Columbus will be held May 24 in the Knights of Columbus Hall on Ellis Avenue. It starts at 7 p.m. and the speaker will be Lyn Smith of the Child Poverty Action Network. This session is open to member knights, their families, all parishes and the community at large.

The final regular meeting of Bishop N.Z. Lorrain council 1531 of the Knights of Columbus will be held in the Knights of Columbus Hall on Tuesday, June 14th starting at 7:30 p.m.

Knights of Columbus N.Z. Lorrain council 1531 will be hold its closing dinner on Friday, June 17th at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Ellis Avenue. Social hour is at 6 p.m., followed by dinner. This event is open to members and their spouses. Tickets are available from Grand Knight Maurice Levesque, at the bar in the hall or Town and Country Men’s Shop. Tickets are $20 each. Thank you to everyone for their help and co-operation this past year.

142nd ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE: to Sainte-Anne-de Beaupré and Cap-de-la Madeleine will be on August 13-14, 2015, 2015. Our weekend celebrant is Archbishop Paul-André Durocher, Archdiocese of Gatineau. Pope Francis has encouraged all of us to make a pilgrimage during the Year of Mercy. What an opportunity to participate in this 142nd Annual Pilgrimage. The Archdiocese of Québec designated to a Door of Mercy at the Shrine of Ste. Anne-de-Beaupré. Ste-Anne in a “Stations of Mercy. ST. JOSEPH’S CEMETERY ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN-UP: The St. Joseph cemetery clean-up will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 6:30 pm. If that date is rained out, we will meet the following Monday, June 6, 2016 at 6:30pm. Please bring a rake or a shovel. Mosquito repellant will be provided.  Thanks, Denzil.

SHEENBORO FUNDRAISER: Lisa Marie on Sunday May 22, 2016 from 2-4 PM in the Sheenboro Parish Hall. Tickets: $20.00 per person at the door. Notes from Fr. Tim
1) Our sympathy and prayers go out to the families of John Delaney and Howard Gagnon upon the death of their loved ones. Their funerals will be celebrated in Chapeau this coming week. Please remember them in your prayers.

2) We welcome Xavier Chaput and Finley Brennan, infant sons of Martin and Annick Chaput and Richard and Jessica Brennan who are to be baptized this weekend. May God grant them a long and happy life as members of our Catholic faith community.

3) Congratulations to Gisele Chartrand and Ryan O’Neill who were married in St. Alphonsus Parish this week! May they enjoy many years of happiness together.

4) The office will be closed this Monday and Tuesday to allow Pauline and I to each enjoy a long weekend too. (yippee!) The office will re-open on Wednesday morning at 9:00 am. Thank you for your understanding.
