Notes from Fr. Tim
1) Congratulations to the students who received their Confirmation last weekend. Thanks to the parishioners from St. Joseph’s who filled every pew to demonstrate to Bishop Mulhall your commitment to your church. It was wonderful to see!

2) Bible Study continues this week on Thursday evening at 7 pm. in the St. Joseph’s Rectory.

3) Let’s face it – while many people may be uneasy about what transpires in an abortion, they nevertheless want it as a legal option because they consider it ‘back-up’ birth control. In a case of “having one’s cake and eating it too”, they want sex-on-demand without its natural consequences. St. Paul’s message in this weekend’s 2nd reading reminds us that if we live a moral Christian life, we won’t need to be worried about having a ‘back-up plan’, especially one that results in the killing of an innocent child.

4) Pro-Life Intercession: For all elected officials, that they courageously advance the cause of life.

5) Take notice of the Christmas Mass schedule published in this week’s bulletin. Of special note is the Midnight Mass in St. Theresa’s Chapel at Fort William, thanks to Fr. Tom Fitzpatrick accepting to help us out with this celebration. Fr. Mike Costello will be the celebrant in Sheenboro on Christmas morning.
