|Notes from Fr. Tim|
|1) Our bible study class has completed our look at the Gospel of John. Now we’re going to start a trip through the Book of Revelations beginning on Thursday, February 16th. So if you’ve wanted to join in but didn’t want to arrive in the middle of something, now would be your chance. We meet at the Parish Rectory in St. Joseph’s from 7 – 8 pm. New members are always welcome.
2) Our sympathy once again goes out to the members of the Sullivan family. Eight days after the death of their father George, they are gathering together again in Sheenboro for the funeral of their mother, Lucy Sullivan. Please keep this family in your prayers during these very trying times.
3) I had a walk-through this week with the contractor responsible for the new Chapeau Church entrance and am pleased to report that we are making good progress. All of the interior framing etc. has been completed and this week will see the installation of the insulation and the start of plumbing. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer before we get to celebrate the completion of this major project. Once it is finished, we will begin splitting our office hours between the two offices as follows: Monday (morning only), Tuesday and Wednesdays in Chapeau; Thursday, Friday, and evenings in St. Joseph’s. As parish priest, I will continue to live in the St. Joseph’s rectory.
4) NOTICE for the Confirmation students that meet with Fr. Tim. Because I will away on retreat at the start of February (Feb 3 – 11), our class is rescheduled to Sunday, February 19th following the 10:30 am. Chapeau mass. Please ensure that you have read the assigned chapters for that class!!
5) We will be distributing the 2016 Year-End Financial Statements in each of the parishes next weekend. To save on paper, we will leave a number in each church to be picked up as well as posting a copy of the bulletin boards. If you want your own copy and there are none left, please let me know and we will refresh the number of copies available each week until everyone is satisfied. I thank you for both your ongoing financial support and consideration.
