Notes from Fr. Tim
1) I’ve made a mistake and I wish to apologize. It was wrong of me to have published the comments a few weeks ago about the financial situation facing Sheenboro in the bulletin. If I had to do it over again, I would have simply addressed the community at after mass to express my concerns. I ask for forgiveness from those I offended with my poor decision and hope that we will be able as a parish community to move past this error on my part. I also wish to offer a specific thank you to those from all three parishes who made me realize the error I had made. Your comments were offered with sincerity and concern for both my welfare and that of the community. Your actions were and are greatly appreciated.

On a related matter regarding the new roof at St. Theresa’s chapel (Fort William). The reason I made mention of it is because the revenues that Laetitia Peacock collected were deposited in 2015, but the last of the invoices were paid in 2016. This contributed to the ‘deficit’ for 2016 when in fact sufficient funds were raised to complete the project. I made mention of this in my first post as a way of explaining why the financial shortfall seemed so large, not to lead to the conclusion that the work cost St. Paul the Hermit any of its operating funds. Again, my apologies for this misunderstanding.

2) Bible Study class continues on Thursday evening at 7 pm in the St. Joseph’s parish rectory.

3) Beginning this coming Friday we will celebrate the Stations of the Cross throughout the season of Lent. This week we will do so at 7 pm in the church in St. Joseph’s.

4) We welcome Fr. Mitch back in Sheenboro on Saturday, March 18th at the 5 pm mass as he is presenting the church there with a statue of St. Patrick which he had found and repaired. There will be a pot-luck meal shared with him in the parish hall immediately following the mass and presentation. Why not come out and say hello!
