It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Sharon Sullivan, wife of George Sullivan of Chapeau. Sharon played an important role in the life of our community. From her General Store to her years serving as a municipal council member of Allumette Island West she helped many of us. She will be waked at the Hayes Funeral Home (Chapeau) on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated the next day (Friday, May 26th) at 10:30 am. Obituary:  Peacefully, on May 21, 2017, Sharon Sullivan, of Allumette Island, Quebec, beloved wife of George Sullivan.  Loving mother of Melodie (Scott Armstrong), Tim (Eveline Lemay), Kimberley (Gregory Cornthwaite) and Gerald.  Cherished grandmother of Emily, Russell, Nolan, Myra and Cassie.  Daughter of the late Russell “Ben” Reid and Davina Clarke.  Dear sister of Leslie (late Pat), Clifford (Marg), Dale and Connie (Terry).  Sharon was well known in the community for her service on municipal council and her extensive volunteer work.  Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.  Funeral service will be held in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, on Friday at 10:30 a.m.  Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Residence Meilleur or the Pontiac Community Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
