|Notes from Fr. Tim|
|1) Congratulations to the children who made their First Confession and Communion last Sunday. May it be the start of a new and wonderful phase in their relationship with Christ and his Church. Special thanks to their catechists and teachers too. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
2) Well, folks, the day has FINALLY arrived. The Chapeau Parish Office open’s this week. Effective immediately, office hours will be as follows:
Monday – Wednesday: 9 am to 4 pm at Chapeau
Thursday – Friday: 9 am to 4 pm at St. Joseph’s
We still have to get our electronics (including phones) up and running so it may take a day or two before everything is fully functional but if you don’t get an answer when you phone, just leave a voice mail and we’ll respond a.s.a.p. Thank you for your patience as we get everything up to speed.
3) Our final Bible Study Class will be held on Thursday in the St. Joseph’s Rectory. Classes will resume after the summer.
4) Congratulations to Francis Conroy! He celebrates the 45th anniversary of owning the grocery store this weekend. Thank you, Francis, for the great service and for selling the BEST MEAT in the entire Ottawa Valley for all those years!
5) We welcomed Adeline Denault into our Catholic faith at her baptism in Chapeau last weekend. She is the infant daughter of Dustin Denault and Renée Schryer. Best wishes also go out to Sam and Kiersten Vaillancourt who were joined in marriage last Saturday. May they be blessed with many years of peace, love, and joy together.
