Notes from Fr. Tim |
1) Congratulations to Simon Allard, Alexis Fortin-Chaput, Jenna Gagnon, Alexis Hynes, Benjamin Lepine, Maggie McDonald, Baleigh Spence, Russell Belland Racing, who were confirmed by Bishop Mulhall last weekend. It was both a pleasure and honor to be able to prepare you to receive this important sacrament.
2) Next Saturday at 10:30 am in the Cathedral, Bishop Mulhall will be ordaining Justin Bertrand, Anthony Burchat, Stephen Helferty, and Michael Lund to the priesthood. An ordination ceremony of a single priest is a wonderful ceremony, filled with joy and expectation. Imagine how great it will be to watch the ordination of four! Please keep the newly ordained in your prayers. 3) We will very soon be distributing draw tickets in St. Joseph’s and Chapeau for our upcoming parish suppers. First prize for both draws is a hand-made quilt! The remained of the prizes are cash awards. These draws are an important revenue source that helps to make the parish suppers as profitable as possible so please be generous in your efforts to sell (and buy!!) as many books of tickets as possible. 4) Attention Chapeau parishioners: We will be holding another meeting immediately after next Sunday’s Mass to discuss the next phase of repair work to the Church. Everyone is welcome to stay and hear what is to be done this summer and fall. 5) We offer our prayers and sympathy to the family of Iona Morris of Sheenboro who passed away last Sunday. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. |
