Notes from Fr. Tim
1) We start putting decorations on our ‘Tree of Life’ this weekend, beginning with the crosses in memory of those who have died. Over the next three weekends, we will put on the creche decorations (children) and stars (accomplishments/celebrations) before turning on the lights in anticipation of the birth of Christ, the “Light of the World” born on Christmas morning.

2) Thank you to everyone who called in names for our Christmas elves to bring goodie packages to their homes in the Chapeau/Chichester area. They will be delivered over the next couple of weeks.

3) We’re approaching the last few episodes of the ‘Catholicism’ series on Wednesday mornings in Chapeau following the 10 am Mass. Each episode stands on its own so you are welcome to come and watch them with us. The episodes last between 40-45 minutes.

4) Going to Confession is an important way of getting ready for Christmas. To this end, I will be hearing confessions in each parish at the following times: Sheenboro – Saturday, December 16 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm; Chapeau – Tuesday, December 19 from 7 to 8 pm.; St. Joseph’s – Thursday, December 7 from 7 to 8 pm.

5) Congratulations to Ivy Rae Chartrand child of Dan Chartrand and Holly Godin who was baptized into our Catholic faith this past Sunday.

6) Here are the Christmas Mass times for this year:

December 24

5 pm: St. Joseph’s; 7 pm: Chapeau; 9 pm: Sheenboro
