Fr. Tim Notes:
1) I’m back!! While my sabbatical was better than what I expected it does
feel very good to be back home once again. I only wish that our situation here
at home wasn’t so stressful upon returning. Between the seemingly never-
ending flood and the lousy cool and wet weather that has us in its grip, it’s easyto understand why people are on edge these days. Hopefully, some of the
summer-like conditions that I enjoyed for the past two months in Baltimore
might eventually follow me up here so that we can get our properties and our
spirits dried out asap!

2) There is a particular ‘thank you’ that I forgot to mention in last week’s
bulletin and that’s to young Nia McGuire of St. Joseph’s parish who sent me a
couple of letters and some beautiful artwork too! Thank you Nia!

3) Thank you to Mark and Jennifer Jennings and their volunteers for the
Spaghetti Supper in Sheenboro this Saturday. All the profits from their efforts
are going towards our Sheenboro Parish Hall.

4) Next weekend we will be celebrating our First Communion and Confessions
for a number of our young members. Confession will be held at 10:30 am in the Chapeau Sacristy on Saturday and the First Communion will be celebrated at
the 10:30 am Mass the next day. Please remember to pray for these young
Catholics that they will grow in their belief and continue in the practice of
their faith.

5) The celebration of Confirmation will take place at the Chapeau Sunday Mass on June 2nd. Since we have no bishop I have been mandated as the parish pastor to offer the sacrament to our grade six students who have participated in
the catechism program. We will have a short practice on Saturday, June 1st at
11 am to offer the final preparation for the reception of this important
sacrament in their lives.
