In recognition of the many deceased members of the former Holy Spirit Church Mission in Nichabeau, a sign will be erected outside the cemetery later this year. Sheenboro, St. Paul the Hermit Parish – Our church has some necessary minor capital projects (ceiling plaster, electrical stack, and side door). In addition, we have two major repairs needed: the wall near the side entrance and repointing of exterior stonework. We are seeking donations from individuals or families in support of these capital projects. As we are celebrating the centenary of the rebuilding (1918) and dedication (1919) of our church on September 1, we propose that donations are noted in memory of a family member and a plaque will be placed at the entrance with their names. If you have questions, please speak to Fr. Tim about this fundraising initiative.

|Fr. Tim Notes:|
|1) Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Jack Hill (wife: Helen), Mrs. Jacqueline Mainville (husband: Royal), and Mr. Aurel Chaput (wife: Madeleine) whose funerals were either celebrated this week or in the week to come. My sympathies to all their families and friends.
2) Congratulations to the graduates of Dr. Wilbert Keon School whose graduation ceremony was held in Chapeau this Saturday. It is an important step that they have accomplished in completing their high school education. May it be followed by many more such accomplishments in the years that lay before them.
3) Please pray for the return to a healthy ministry for Fr. Réal Ouellette, pastor of Fort Coulonge, Waltham, Vinton, and Otter Lake as he continues his treatment in Southdown, an institute that aids priests who have burned out in their ministry. Fr. Réal has fulfilled many roles in his years as a priest and has suffered under an extraordinarily complex and burdensome workload for the past few years. With the aid of our prayers, may he soon return to his ministry renewed and strengthened in spirit.
4) WOW! The tickets for ‘Up at Fred’s-Allons-y’ have sold like hotcakes and are almost all gone. If you have not yet purchased yours, there are a minimal number still available through West Pontiac Connects. If you are unable to attend the play, you can always come for the dance that follows, featuring musicians who played at Fred’s over the years. The doors will reopen after the performance (approximately 9:30 pm). The cost of attending the dance alone will be $20 per person. Please note that there is no supper served at this performance but there will be a light lunch offered at 10:30 pm.
5) This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi. This is a spiritual celebration of the greatest gift that God has given to us as Catholics: his very presence in the Eucharist to nourish and sustain us throughout our life. How do you share those graces with others around you? Remember that in receiving the Eucharist you quite literally become a living, breathing, walking Tabernacle of Christ. Do others see Christ’s presence in you?
