Sheenboro St. Paul the Hermit Parish – Our church has some necessary minor capital projects (ceiling plaster, electrical stack and side door).  In addition, we have two major repairs needed: the wall near the side entrance and repointing of exterior stonework.  We are seeking donations from individuals or families in support of these capital projects.  As we are celebrating the centenary of the rebuilding (1918) and dedication (1919) of our church on September 1, we propose that donations are noted in memory of a family member and a plaque will be placed at the entrance with their names. If you have questions, please speak to Fr. Tim about this fundraising initiative.

Got Life Questions? R.C.I.A. might just be for you! R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a journey for anyone who is interested in becoming a Catholic, and growing in their life as a Christian. It is for someone who has never been baptized, or maybe has been baptized in another Christian faith and wishes to know more about the Catholic faith. Maybe you have been baptized and have not received the other Sacraments for your life’s mission. If any of these scenarios apply to you, we would love to help in your spiritual journey. All are welcome to join us in exploring this new quest. Please contact Deacon Adrien Chaput at 613 732-7933 ext. 206 if you wish to know more about the Catholic faith.

Fr. Tim Notes:
 1) So… enjoying the weather these days? If you’re finding it a little too hot and dry for your taste, I suggest you remember back to the endless weeks of cloud, rain, and cold temps that accompanied what was supposed to be our Spring season! Seriously though, when temperatures get up this high, it can be fatal for people with weak hearts or compromised lungs. Keep an eye out for your neighbours and friends for anyone who might be suffering in this heatwave.

 2) We are looking for volunteers to help out with the upcoming performance of ‘Up at Fred’s – Allons-y.’ There are chairs to be set up and ticket tables to be staffed. Of particular need is a handful of people who would function as parking lot attendants. Any assistance will be gratefully appreciated.

 3) Congratulations to Desiree and Andrew Swan who were married in Chapeau this weekend. Please pray that they have a long and happy life together.

 4) Thank you to everyone who contributed to the special Canada Day collection at the Sheenboro Mass. The funds will be used to help defray our upcoming repairs.
