NOTES FROM FR. TIM
1) Our prayers and sympathies to the family of Doreen Bérubé Dubeau of St. Joseph’s Parish. Doreen died last weekend and her funeral was celebrated this Saturday. Please remember to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

2) We also offer our sympathies to the family of the late Rolland Boulet who will be buried in the old Chapeau cemetery on Monday morning.

3) As we reach the midway point in Lent it’s a good time to review our successes and failures with our Lenten disciplines. It’s never too late to start again if perhaps they’ve fallen apart over the past few weeks, especially during the period of the school break.

4) Stations of the Cross continue on Friday evenings at 7 pm throughout the season of Lent. How about dedicating 30 minutes of your time and walking the way of the Passion with our Lord? It’s the least we can do given that he endured it all for the forgiveness of our sins.

5) Bible Study: Between sicknesses and time changes, our bible study classes have become somewhat sporadic over these past few weeks. For this reason, we will relaunch the class again on Thursday April 9th at 7 pm. We will continue our journey through the Gospel of Matthew at that time.

6) Want to have a mass said on a particular date? Please make certain to call as soon as possible in advance to ensure that you are not disappointed to discover that the mass intention has already been assigned to someone else.

7) Don’t forget to mark May 29th on your calendars! The Church in Chapeau will be the site of a concert involving the youth of our parishes as a fundraising activity to aid the family of Alexis Lepine as she battles Treacher Collins Syndrome.
