1) HAPPY EASTER!! And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to prepare and celebrate these holy liturgies. May God grant everyone his fullest blessings and peace this Easter Season.

2) Note to the good folks of St. Joseph’s Parish: Fear not! Your rectory and office are safe. I misspoke in my sermon last weekend. It’s the rectory in Chapeau that I am proposing be converted into a hospice.

3) Please remember to keep in your prayers all the families of our churches who have are dealing with grief this spring. Easter is a time when we all remember those whom we have lost, but it can be particularly difficult for those whose bereavement is recent.

4) If you’re interested in learning more about why euthanasia is such a bad idea for us in Canada, check out the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition website at   It’s chock-full of excellent information on the subject from a Canadian perspective.

5) Please pray for the repose of the soul of Joe Duquette who passed away this week and for the consolation of his family. Wake will be held at Hayes Funeral Home in Chapeau on Monday with funeral in Chapeau on Tuesday at 11 am.
