|NOTES FROM FR. TIM|
|1) Our sympathies and prayers go out to Frances Giroux of Chapeau upon the death of her brother Gerald Tallon in Deep River this week. Please ask God to grant comfort and consolation to all the members of Gerald’s family.
2) Did you see the article in the Wednesday edition of the National Post discussing the issue of the expenses paid out by the government to care for people in the last month of their life? It was just another example of the type of evidence which is being put together to justify a euthanasia regime. You can still find it online at: http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/last-month-of-life-costs-health-care-system-14k-on-average-report
3) I will be away from the parish for a few days this week as I am off to Toronto to visit a classmate. I will return in time to celebrate mass on Thursday and for Bible Study at 7 pm that same day. New members are always welcome as we continue our journey through the gospel of Matthew.
4) We’ve just received news that Mrs. Marie Rochon, mother of Elaine Rochon, organist in Sheenboro, and of Leo Rochon, former choir director of St. Joseph’s has died in Miramichi Lodge. Marie’s funeral was celebrated this Saturday in Waltham. Our sympathy and prayers to her family.
