CHAPEAU PARISH SUPPER-OCTOBER 4, FROM 12 PM TO 6 PM: There are sign-up sheets available at the front and back of the church for the various jobs for the Parish Supper. Please feel free to sign up and give your time. Thank you greatly appreciated.

ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! The Annual St. Alphonsus CWL Craft Sale and Chicken Pot Pie Luncheon will be held on Sunday, November 1st at Harrington Community Centre. More info will follow. Call Joan (819-689-2523) to book your table.

YOUNG AT HEART NEWS: activities will start again for a new year. Cards start date will be Wednesday, October 14th at 1 pm. Pot Luck at noon on Wednesday, October 21st followed by a General Meeting. Reminder that this is a good time to renew your membership and we welcome new members.

 THE LADIES COFFEE CLUB: will be meeting at the River Club every Thursday at 11:30. We share lunch and friendship, lend each other books. New members are welcome. Call Hélène 819-689-5455 or Bernie 819-689-5223.

YOUNG AT HEART CLUB: sponsored Tuesday Social Club will start again on September 29th at Harrington Community Centre from 1pm to 3 pm. FLU SHOTS: will be available to everyone on Monday, November 16 from 10 am to 6:30 pm and on Monday, November 30th from 1:00 pm to 6:30 p.m. Please bring your medical card.

FORMATION DAY FOR CATECHISTS AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS: A formation day for catechists will be held on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish Hall, 284 Trafalgar Road, Pembroke from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Our guest speaker for the day will be Dr. Jason Dedo, with lunch and refreshments provided. There is no registration fee but registration is necessary. This formation day is open to all catechists, those interested in the ministry of catechesis, pastors, deacons and pastoral assistants. VISIONING SESSIONS: What will Isle-aux-Allumette and Chichester look like in 2025? Wednesday, October 7th at 7 pm at St. Joseph Hall. Thursday, October 8th at 7 pm at Harrington Community Centre 64 Pembroke Rd. Come share your ideas and future growth and development. Everyone is welcome at either of these sessions!

ST. JOSEPH SUPPER TICKETS: are now available for the Parish Supper on Sunday, October 18th, 2015. Please contact Sharon Fitzpatrick 819-689-2907, Hazel Chassie 819-689-2609 and Donna Tierney 819-689-2558. Tickets are $15 and children under 12 $7.00.

ST. JOSEPH ENVELOPES FOR MEAT DONATIONS: are available at the back of the church to help out with the expenses of the Roast Beef. I wish to thank you for all your support in the past and present, so greatly appreciated.

CHAPEAU RECTORY GALLERY: On Sunday, September 27th, 1-3 pm come and take part in a constructive Critique Class with artist Maurice Bissonnette. Bring your painting, either one in progress or completed work and have it critiqued at no charge.

S.U.P: Sylvie Craise will be having classes on September 28th at the Chapeau Rectory, in order to provide individual instruction to each participant. I am limiting the classes to 5. PENCIL DRAWING CLASSES ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 13, 20, 27 AND NOVEMBER 3: Maurice will also be teaching pencil drawing, the class will entail the basic drawing skills you should learn in order to do a great painting. Classes have a maximum number of students. Cost $40.00 for 4 classes from 6-8 pm. Contact Maurice at 819-689-5407.

PARISH SUPPER-ST.JEAN BAPTISTE-PEMBROKE: on Sunday, September 27th, 2015 Turkey and Ham Supper from 11:30 to 7 p.m. Adults: $13.00/Children $5.00 from11:30 a.m.–7 p.m. Take-out available.

PARISH SUPPER-MOUNT ST. PATRICK-RENFREW ONTARIO: on Sunday, September 27th, 2015, Turkey Ham & Beans . Cost is Adults $13.00 and Children $6.00, Take out Dinners available. 12:30 until 6:00 p.m.

Bishop N.Z. Lorrain Council 1531 of the Knights of Columbus will sponsor its annual cemetery service on Oct. 4 at 2 p.m at St. Columba’s Cemetery.  Those attending will be permitted to place flowers on grave sites. You are encouraged to bring your own chairs for this event.

Notes from Fr: Tim

1) Our sympathy to the family of Margaret Smiley who died this past week. We ask everyone to keep them in your prayers in the days ahead.

2) Congratulations to Bailey Gallagher and Vince Barone and to Whitney Romain and Jeff Brook’s who were married in Chapeau this weekend. May both couple enjoy a lifetime of peace and love in their marriages.

3) Our children’s liturgy is about to restart in Chapeau. Please note that this year it is for children between the ages of 3 to 10 only. Thanks!
