| Notes from Fr: Tim |
| 1) We are very sad to announce the death of Mr. Aurel Vaillancourt of Desjardinsville. His funeral was celebrated in Chapeau on Saturday Dec. 19th. Aurel was the heart and soul of Notre Dame du Lac Church in Desjardinsville from the time it was built by Msgr. D.J. Harrington till the day it was closed in 1998. He functioned as sacristan, caretaker, picnic organizer, and every other job you can imagine! His love of Church continued when he became a collector and helper at St. Alphonsus Church. He will be missed by those who loved him here, but no doubt genuinely welcomed among the saints who went before him. Please remember his family in your prayers.
2) Christmas mass schedules have been published in the Pontiac Journal as well as in the bulletins for the past couple of weeks. Don’t forget to arrive early to get a seat since we often have quite a few visitors in the pews at these Christmas masses! 3) Bible Study classes resume on Thursday, January 7, 2016. 4) Don’t forget that New Years Eve/Day is a holy day of obligation for all Canadian Catholics. We will use the regular weekend schedule of masses on Thursday/Friday for your convenience.
