CHAPEAU FESTIVAL: Chapeau Festival will take place this year on Saturday August 27th from 11 am to Midnight. Activities will include Bicycle Tours(By Yantha Cycle)10:30 a.m., Pontiac Farmers Market 11 a.m., Festival Chapeau Parade- 12 p.m., The Lion’s Club Duck Race 1:00 p.m., Live Music – 1:00 p.m. to midnight, Rib Dinner – 5:00 p.m.-$20 (in advance), Street Dance from 9 p.m. to midnight, Kids activities all day, Fun for the whole family!

FRIENDS OF PERU: This is a short reminder to those friends of Peru that want to help. One way is to collect bottles and cans & cash them in during the celebrations & donate them to Peru. Special Hydro Electric Advocacy Committee – Complaints/Claims Forms: It is still very critical that all Hydro Quebec customers fill out a complaint/claims form. A paper trail is extremely important and will enable the Advocacy Committee to be effective. Everyone can complain about the frequent outages. Others can claim damages from the surges.
Our target is between 500 to 1,000 forms by the Special Council Meeting on August 25, 7pm, Harrington Community Center.
Forms can be dropped off, or blank forms picked up at Dubeau’s, D.C., or the municipal office in Chapeau. Thank you for any effort you can make.
FALL PILGRIMAGE TO MEDJUGORIE: The Jubilee Year of Mercy Fall 2016 Pilgrimage to Medjugorje, including a visit to the Holy Door at St. Anthony Monastery near Medjugorje, will be held from September 27 to October 7, 2016. ENVELOPES FOR MEAT DONATIONS: Our parish supper is fast approaching ( Sunday, September 11th). Envelopes are provided should you wish to help with the cost of the turkey. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
ST. ALPHONSUS-PARISH SUPPER RAFFLE TICKETS: Tickets for the Chapeau parish draw are available to be picked up at the entrances of the Church. We ask & strongly encourage each family to try to sell a minimum of 10 books as this is an important component of our profit generated by the parish supper. There is a sign-up sheet to put your name down and the amount of books you take. Your help is appreciated with this Fundraiser. There are 5 books of tickets in each elastic. Our Parish Supper will be held this year on Sunday, September 11th, 2016.

|1) There will be a meeting of the Parish Finance Committee this Tuesday at 7 pm at the office in St. Joseph.
2) Next weekend starts a stretch of six Saturday’s with wedding ceremonies! Congratulations to all the couples.
3) Congratulations to Charlotte Tierney (Robert & Abby Tierney), Charlotte Gaudette (JasonGaudette/Bethany Lapierre), and Westyn Fleming (Scott Fleming/Tabitha Denault) who were all recently baptised in our churches. This weekend we welcome Amelia Pasanen (Natalie Lariviere/Shane Pasanen), McKinley Lepine (Jeremy Lepine/Chantal Lariviere) and Emmett Burnison (Sarah Adam/Derek Burnison). Please keep these infants and their families in your prayers.
4) Our sympathy and prayers go out to Sharon and Helen Fitzpatrick upon the death of their sister, Diane McCann in Pembroke.
