Special Hydro Electric Advocacy Committee – Complaints/Claims Forms: Thank you to the Advocacy Committee and all who attended the July 27 meeting. An excellent turnout!

We have the attention of Hydro Quebec. They have requested a meeting with the municipality. Dates and who attends are being negotiated.

It is still very critical that all Hydro Quebec customers fill out a complaint/claims form. A paper trail is extremely important and will enable the Advocacy Committee to be effective. Everyone can complain about the frequent outages. Others can claim damages from the surges.

Our target is between 500 to 1,000 forms by the Special Council Meeting on August 25, 7pm, Harrington Community Center.

Forms can be dropped off, or blank forms picked up at Dubeau’s, D.C., or the municipal office in Chapeau. Thank you for any effort you can make.

Notes from Fr. Tim
1) My thanks to those who attended the meeting last week to discuss the new side entrance project in Chapeau. We will let you know when the work is about to start.

2) Our sympathies and prayers go out to the family of Neil Chartrand whose funeral was celebrated in Chapeau on Monday.  We also ask your prayers for the repose of the soul of Laurette Chassie (née Chaput) whose burial will take place this Monday. Please remember to pray for the consolation of these families.

3) There are still one or two couples who are to be married in our churches this fall who have not completed their service preparations with me. Don’t delay too long or you may end up being disappointed with a generic or impersonal service… or if there’s required paperwork to complete that’s left undone, no service at all!!
