|Notes from Fr. Tim|
|1) Next weekend marks the last class for our Catechism courses for this school year. Many thanks to those who once again volunteered to teach the course material. Without your assistance, we would not be able to teach the faith to our parish children.
2) Our sympathy and prayers go out the Lamarche family upon the unexpected death of Bobby Lamarche. His funeral will be celebrated in Chapeau this week on Tuesday.
3) We’re SO close to finishing the Chapeau side entrance/office project. Initially, we were told that we could start celebrating weekday masses there this week. Alas, we’ve been asked to delay for ONE MORE WEEK to allow the workers to complete a few more items. We thank you for your patience.
4) Starting to think about the Canada Day celebrations in Sheenboro yet? The organizing committee there is working full tilt to make the 150th anniversary of Confederation one for the record books. Watch the bulletin for more details as we draw closer to our nation’s birthday.
5) Cindy Chevalier, part of the staff at the River Club was seriously burned in an accident at her home and is currently a patient in the Burn Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. I’ve started a ‘GoFundMe’ campaign to help raise funds in her support. Her doctors are telling her that she is facing months of hospital care before she’ll be able to return home, and at least a couple of years before she will be well enough to return to work. If you are willing and able to offer some financial support to her cause, you can visit the ‘GoFundMe.com‘ website and make your contribution.
