Mr. Colin Dubeau, a partner of the firm Nelligan, Payne, & O’Brien will be in St. Joseph’s Church (7 rue St-Joseph, Allumette Island) on THURSDAY AUGUST 8th at 7 pm to discuss the proposed class-action lawsuit.
At that time he will ask for a payment of $200 from each participant. This money will be used to pay for a report from a hydrologist outlining what actually transpired during the flood. Any funds collected in excess of the cost of this report will be put towards the costs of any legal action. Even if our numbers do not qualify us by the courts for a class action suit, the report will be used as part of any individual action taken on your behalf by the firm so it’s a ‘win/win’ situation for participants.
Please make every effort to attend this meeting on time as he will be here for only one hour. Feel free to contact me for more information. If you want to participate but cannot attend, you can mail a cheque made out in the name of the law firm to me (Fr. Tim Moyle, C.P. 40, Chapeau, QC. J0X1M0) and I will ensure that you are registered for any legal action. Please include your address and contact information with your cheque so that the firm can contact you directly.
Fr. Tim Moyle
