The Tuesday Social Club had its last session for the season some of us call “the year of the bear” because we knitted many snugly bears and sent them to the missions along with our dresses, blankets and sleeping mats. We will meet up again in September.

A special thank you to Fr. Moyle for a beautiful sermon and his kind words. We would also like to thank the choir for the beautiful job they did and Hayes Funeral Home. To the CWL for putting on a wonderful luncheon we thank you. Your kindness will not be forgotten. God Bless!       The Gagnon Family

CANADA DAY SILENT AUCTION 2016 :  July 1st is almost here and so is our 19th auction. Once again we are counting on you for contributions. Home baking, preserves, gently used items, brunches and dinners are always popular. Some item you bought but can’t use could be someone else’s treasure. Maybe you and friends could make up a theme basket of teas and biscuits; picnic items; cheese and sausages; wine and cheese. People love offers of services such as handyman jobs. Your ideas are probably better than mine. Please drop off your donations at our hall the night before between 7 and 8:30 pm.   All proceeds to Sheen RA and Parish Hall.    For info call Angie 689-2486.

Notes from Fr. Tim
1) Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandpas, papas, and ‘pepères’ in our parish. I pray that your dad is filled with love, peace, and joy.

2) This Thursday will be our last Bible Study class for the summer. We will resume again in September.

3) Congratulations to all the graduates of Dr. Wilbert Keon School. Graduating from high school is an accomplishment worth celebrating… just don’t party too hard!!

4) Update of Baby Ashton: She continues to hold her own in the neo-natal intensive care unit of the Ottawa Hospital. Thanks to the generous support of many people, her mother Tasha should now be able to stay by her side for the next 2-3 months until she is discharged and comes home. Please keep this little fighter in your prayers as there will no doubt still be some hurdles for her to get over before that happy day.

5) Please remember to pray to Fr. Peter Than Do who was ordained a priest of the diocese this weekend by Bishop Mulhall. Vocations are needed to keep the parishes of the diocese open and fully functioning. His presence will be much appreciated. Remember too to pray for the three deacons who will be ordained to the priesthood next year.
